Here are Sweet Adeline (SAI) and Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) show and contest dates to aid in planning your chorus calendar, as well as other important deadlines for the newsletter and event registration. InTune is published three times a year, in January, May and September (or pretty darn close!). You are welcome to submit articles for inclusion in the InTune. Articles about your chorus or quartet should be approximately 200 words in length. Educational articles or information about upcoming events and workshops can be longer. Photographs are welcome, although we can’t promise to use every one (it's a space issue!).
Like those shiny hats and those gold medals? Then come and see how to become a champion from championship coaches, medal makers, and each other… If you want to learn how to become a Regional, District or International quartet champion, this weekend is for you!
Coaches: Jean Barford, "Quartet Queen Maker"; Cindy Hansen Ellis, coach to over 18 international quartet champions; plus, the amazing 2011 SAI Queens of Harmony, ZING!

A 3-act show of musical hi-jinks, featuring Pacific Sound Chorus, PSC quartets, and a vintage Wedding Gown show. Tickets are $25, purchased from PSC members will guarantee reserved table seating. Contact Jan Iverson to reserve Will Call tickets, prepaid by June 1st.
For the past four years, Darwin Scheel has hosted very successful Tag Parties in the Portland-Vancouver area...and now the party is heading north! Seven awesome Tag Masters will be in attendance and they have a perfect venue, so this plans to be one of the best Tag parties ever!
- Tag Masters Darwin Scheel, Paul Olguin, John Burri, Jeff Buckles, Josh Leclerc, Drew Osterhout, and Donny Rose will be on site and ready to roll!
- Awesome new tags by the best composers and arrangers in the world!
- Gourmet food! Bring a gourmet dish to share..or just show up.
- Bring any fluids you desire to consume!?!
- Bring sleeping bags and ear plugs if sleeping over.

a capella Joy joins Northwest Sound to present "a capella Overdrive" on June 30, 2012 at 2:30pm and 7pm at Sammamish High School. Guest performers will include Frenzy Quartet, and Kentucky Vocal Union Quartet. The Kentucky Vocal Union has placed 6th in the Men's Barbershop International Competition. Men's International will be in Portland this year! If you've never attended a Barbershop Harmony Society Convention, you should make the trip...you'll be glad you did.

Invest in yourself and expand your musical potential by attending the new Sweet Adelines International A Cappella Harmony Academy in 2012. Discover your AHA moments in a variety of tracks ranging from vocal skills, visual skills, leadership skills, performance skills and so much more.

Do you wish that you had an opportunity to sing fun, challenging songs with a good quartet? You might be interested in Power Quartetting. Our Power Quartetting weekend in 2012 will be September 14-15. Participants will learn (from memory) six challenging arrangements, and spend the weekend singing them in different quartet combinations with singers from all over the Northwest. Jet Cities Chorus celebrates it's 50th Anniversary with matinee and evening shows on Saturday, September 22, 2012 Special guest performers are De Capo Quartet, 2011 Harmony Sweepstakes National Champions. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
The Olympia Chorus presents 2012 Space Oddity, Headlining Hi-Fidelity Men's Quartet, 2005-06 Western District Champins, 2006 Harmony Sweepsakes National a capella Champions, 2008 Pan Pacific Quartet Champions. Performances will be held at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts at the South Puget Sound Community College campus. Ticket Prices are TBD. Region 13 members are invited to join Olympia Chorus for an Afterglor immediately following the evening show at the Olympia Elks Club, 1818 4th Ave E, Olympia 98506.
