Who will win the prize and save the damsel at the 27th Annual Melodrama: “The World-Famous, First-Ever Hide Get Together”!

Ever wondered how Fur Rendezvous got its name?  Find out the answer to that burning question and many more when you take your seat at the 2017 Fur Rondy Melodrama, The World-Famous, First-Ever Hide Get Together.  Loads of wacky fun takes place when you enter the Almost End of the Road Saloon during the winter of 1935.  The antics of barkeep Brandon Irons, damsel in distress Crystal Pendant, lady of the evening Heidi SoftasFleece, dastardly villain Alfred E. Hiccup, and his trusty sidekick, Anita Bath will keep you rolling with laughter.  This madcap adventure will lighten up a dull Anchorage February by transporting the audience to a full-fledged, mid-winter carnival with a hotly contested talent show, a mysterious stranger, a ditzy romance, and a devious plot to steal the grand prize.  Join in the fun as we throw popcorn, clap and cheer, and hiss and boo at our zany crew as they sing and dance their way directly into your funny bone.

Join us for a popcorn-throwing, booing hissing good time, and be transported to the Fur Rondy days of yesteryear, at the “World-Famous, First-Ever Hide Get Together”.

Come early to buy your popcorn and raffle tickets! See you there!

The 2017 Fur Rondy Melodrama is presented by Alaska Sound Celebration. Stage direction by David Block, musical direction by Peggy Benton, script writing by Nancy Arnold & Sue Kjellsen.
